Title: The impact of nonspecific exercise on the coordination of the upper extremities in swimming style crawl Objectives: The aim of this thesis is to determine whether the exercise alternating circling of the upper extremities in standing applied during the swimming lessons has impact on improving technically swimming style crawl. Methods: The research involved 30 probands of the 1st degree of Faculty of Physical Education of Sport Charles University who have never taken part in swimming training. During the research was used only non-invasive methods. The measurement of height of body, upper extremity range and body composition on TANITA device. Testing was carried out in the laboratories of sports motorics at Faculty of Physical Education of Sport in Charles' University. Than testing in swimming pool was attended a swimming test at the distance of 25 and 50 m. Probands were testing in time and it was calculated number of strokes in a swimming test at the distance of 25 to 50 m. Results: In the swimming test of 25 m distance it was statistically significant change in overall performance, only a high degree of material significance was confirmed in the frequency of the strokes. In the swimming test of 50 m distance we recorded a statistically significant change in the overall performance only in...

This master thesis deals with the issues of snowboard teaching of children at older school age. The master thesis is divided into theoretical and practical part. Impact of swimming on the motor system of professional swimmers
DVOŘÁKOVÁ, Tereza
My Bachelor Dissertation focused on the topic ``Impact of swimming on the motor system of professional swimmers{\crq}q is divided into two parts {--} theoretical part and research part. The theoretical part describes not only the history of swimming, development of swimming methods and impact of swimming on human organism, but also according to what parameters it is possible to identify future top swimmers, how to avoid damage to the motor system caused by swimming, why the joint motility is so important and how stretching can help in this context. The aim of this Bachelor Dissertation is to find out whether stretching has an impact on the motor system of professional swimmers. In the research part I tried to achieve this objective. The research was carried out in a qualitative manner with the help of such techniques as anamnesis, observation (kinesiology examination), on two swimmers who had physical difficulties. The therapy was held for seven weeks during which I focused not only on the stretching of shortened muscles but also on reinforcement of weakened muscles and drilling of movement stereotypes. The first patient had pains of the left shoulder joint and the other one had pains of the lumbar area of his back, of the right iliac joint and buttocks. Both the patients cooperated well and thanks to the therapy it was possible to improve stretching of shortened muscles, advanced head posture, asymmetry of the left and right parts of the body, breath wave, and muscle force increased. Physical difficulties of swimmers were mitigated, but much more time would be necessary for their complete removal. It implies from the results of the research that stretching has a positive influence on the motor system of professional swimmers but for achievement of better results it should be connected with the reinforcement of weakened muscles as well.
Snowboard Schools of Czech Republic and Slovakia and Their Comparison with Snowboard Schools of the Alps
Kráľ, Branislav ; Indrová, Jarmila (advisor) ; Kiráľová, Alžbeta (referee)
Author's goal is to describe snowboard schools in Czech Republic and Slovakia, to compare them with the Alps' snowboarding schools, and thus assess development tendencies of these schools. Rapid growth of free time in the twentieth century accelerated by favorable conditions of recent times caused the genesis of free-time industry. One of the segments satisfying free-time needs is sport tourism, which is beneficial for both tourists and regions, but which brings up conflicts with the environment. Services in this segment have their specific traits, and all these traits influence the quality of such service. The demanded quantity of these services is highly elastic, making sport tourism sensitive to business cycles. Marketing aiming at people demanding sport tourism products must consider four particular principles: partnership, people, programming, and packages. Further, it is necessary to be familiar with the golden rules of psychology of sales. Snowboarding began to come to light in the 70s of the twentieth century. First European snowboarding schools began to rise in the early 90s, but the sport was only being taken seriously after its debut at Nagano Olympics. In the author's way of understanding, a snowboarding school is every organization or a part of an organization teaching snowboarding in any form. The most wide-spread schools are those based in winter resorts. Clients consist mainly of children, while their parents are those who pay for the fun. The schools thence try to be reliable and professional, so as to attract paying parents, and stylish, so as to attract young people and children. Tough competition makes snowboarding schools offer quality and creative services. Enriching the scope with freestyle lessons is the legacy. What makes instructors professional are licenses, among which those issued by ISIA are accepted the best. Except for a license, an instructor is asked to be outgoing, keen on his sport, creative, open-minded and enduring. To a great part, instructors are motivated by their stay in the mountains itself. When teaching, they must proceed step by step, so as to make students feel learning is easy. It is crucial to state that Slovak and Czech snowboarding schools inspire themselves by Alps' schools, hence watching Alps is a sort of a peek into future of schools of our home region.
